The Mission

The Mission of F3 is to plant, grow and serve small workout groups for men for the invigoration of male community leadership.

1

Fitness

Peer-led, boot camp-style workouts held outdoors in any weather. High intensity, always free, open to all fitness levels. Push yourself — don't hurt yourself. Every day is different, every Q brings something new.

2

Fellowship

Brotherhood forged in the gloom. F3 builds genuine community — the kind that shows up when it matters. We leave no man behind, and we don't leave any man where we find him.

3

Faith

Belief in something greater than ourselves. F3 is non-denominational and welcomes all men, regardless of faith background. It's about becoming a better man in your community, family, and world.

What F3 Actually Looks Like

Words only go so far. Watch this and you'll understand why men keep coming back.

Five Core Principles

Every F3 workout, anywhere in the world, adheres to these five non-negotiables.

1

Always Free

No membership fees, no hidden costs. F3 has always been and always will be completely free.

2

Open to All Men

Any man of any age, any fitness level, any background. If you're a man, you're welcome here.

3

Held Outdoors

Rain, snow, wind, or shine — we're outside. Gloom is the best gym in the world.

4

Peer-Led

No professional trainers. The Q (workout leader) is one of your brothers stepping up to lead.

5

Ends with a COT

Every beatdown closes with a Circle of Trust — a brief moment of accountability and community before you head out.

Areas of Operation

What to Expect

Nervous about your first beatdown? Don't be. Every man showed up as an FNG (Friendly New Guy) once. Here's what you need to know:

  • Arrive 5 minutes early. We start on time and end on time.

  • No sign-up, no RSVP. Just show up. Open to ALL men.

  • Workout runs 45-60 min. Get the hardest part of your day over with before the city wakes up.

  • Modify as necessary. We never leave a man behind. Go at your own pace — just keep moving.

  • You'll get an F3 nickname. Every FNG ("Friendly New Guy") gets a nickname after their first beatdown.

  • Dress for Calgary weather. Layers in winter, light gear in summer. The gloom awaits.

The Disclaimer

Every F3 workout opens with the Disclaimer — a brief statement that this is a free, peer-led workout. The Q is not a professional trainer. You work out at your own risk, and you are responsible for knowing your own limits.

F3 is built on mutual trust and brotherhood, not professional instruction. We push each other because we care. By showing up, you acknowledge that you are doing so of your own free will and take sole responsibility for whatever happens. No waivers to sign, no lawyers, no lawsuits.

The COT

The Circle of Trust ends every workout. Everyone closes in tight. Name-o-Rama, Count-o-Rama, announcements, and a brief word from the Q. This is where the fellowship part of F3 comes to life.

F3 Lexicon

F3 has its own vocabulary. Don't worry — you'll pick it up fast. Here's a cheat sheet.

The Gloom

The pre-dawn darkness where F3 lives. Early mornings, every morning.

PAX

The participants in a workout. The brotherhood. That's you.

Q

The workout leader for the day. A peer, not a trainer. Soon enough, it'll be your turn.

AO

Area of Operation. The named workout location where the PAX assembles.

Beatdown

The workout itself. High-intensity, boot camp-style. Every day is different.

FNG

Friendly New Guy. Every man's first title. Wear it proud — it doesn't last long.

EH

Emotional Headlock. The act of inviting a man to F3 — and not taking no for an answer.

COT

Circle of Trust. Closes every workout. Count-o-Rama, Name-o-Rama, announcements, word.

Ruck

A weighted walk or hike with a loaded pack. Low intensity, high fellowship.

Backblast

The written recap of a workout, posted by the Q after every beatdown.

HIM

High Impact Man. The goal — not just a fit body, but a man who leads and serves.

The Thang

The main body of the workout. Where the beatdown actually happens.

Join the PAX

No fees. No sign-up. No excuses. Just show up. The hardest part is the first step out the door. We'll handle the rest.
